FREEDIVING EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER
(FEMR)

Taking your dive safety skills to the next level.

As freedivers, we often find ourselves traveling to less populated areas to dive such as the springs, small islands, cenotes, or on boats.  Because of these remote locations, this may mean extended periods of time for advanced medical help to reach you.  That means you may be someone’s best chance at survival.  This course was started because, as healthcare providers, we saw a need for freedivers to have some sort of medical training in emergencies.  Our Freediving Emergency Medical Responder Course (FEMR) teaches lifesaving interventions to freediving injuries, as well as many other injuries and medical conditions that can occur in an outdoor environment.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: Jamie and Daniel are the owners of Freedive Medicine LLC.  They specialize in first medical response and outdoor survival. Together, they have almost 40 years of medical experience in pre-hospital paramedicine, emergency care, critical care, austere, and flight medicine.  They have also served as members of the medical teams for freediving competitions in Roatan, Honduras and Long Island, Bahamas.
